Begin with business goals

A technology strategy should explain which business outcomes matter and where current systems help or hinder them. Talk to the people doing the work before selecting new tools.

Set priorities and ownership

Compare potential changes by value, effort, dependencies and operational risk. Give each priority an owner and define what successful adoption would look like.

Keep the roadmap practical

Plan a sequence that your organisation can support. Include implementation, training, maintenance and review, and update the roadmap when business priorities change.
